This past Saturday, myself and Clariza of Bowties & Caviar, took a roadtrip from DC to New York City to attend the Brands & Bloggers event! For both of us, it's our first time networking with other bloggers and brand representatives since we began blogging a little over a year ago. We're both extremely grateful to have attended, as we were able to meet lots of amazing people over the course of the evening. The highlight encounter, for me, was just casually talking to Bre Scullark (from ANTM) about her septum piercing (I had no clue she had one too)! She was a sponsor of the event, and she was also there to promote her new luxury candle line, BrVelle—besides that, everyone was super nice, and all had great things going on within their blogs or brands. Its was a great night, being around so many women (and a few men) who totally embody the entrepreneurial spirit, and create their own opportunities.Since we didn't have much time for a full-out photoshoot while we were there (major time crunch!), I decided to just go ahead and recreate the looks for you guys. I had three looks in total: one for the event, one for grabbing drinks with our friend Rachel later that night, and one for brunch-slash-exploring the city on Sunday.I bought this skirt last Spring from Modcloth, and only got to wear it a total of two times before I retired it for the winter. I love how bold it is, and the floral print is gorgeous! I was really inspired by the 50s for this look, pairing my perfect-for-Spring circle skirt, with a crop top, and leather jacket for extra warmth and structure. I accessorized with some sky-high ankle strap platforms, and lots of stacked gold jewelry.Stay tuned for my other two looks!
