Happy Friday, everyone! It's been a busy week, that's for sure! I guess, instead of my usual fodder, I can fill you in a little about what I'm up to lately! I know I always seem like I'm doing something, I just never really disclose what that something is. I guess, like most people, I don't like to let the cat out of the bag until I know for sure that something will come of it, and lately, my God, there's been quite a lot of something going around! I guess I could start with last September, when I got laid off from my job, and had no idea what I wanted to do—the only thing I was actually sure of, after a bunch of rejected work applications, was that, I never wanted to work for anyone ever again. Instead of stressing about shitty jobs that I somehow wasn't qualified for, I spent the better portion of the last year blogging, and learning, and networking a lot, to the point where people have taken notice. All along, my goal was to use my blog as a gateway into other opportunities, and through some perseverance, and sheer faith, it's been exactly that.

I don't want to write a novel here, so, I'll skip to the part where Christopher and I have now started our own media company, called, Hey Bulldog Co.—the name is pretty much an ode to Winston, our English Bulldog, and his laid-back, live-in-the-moment attitude—we will be focusing on creating photographic, and video content for small to large businesses to help them better market themselves online and through social media. We already have several clients, and the list is growing! Almost daily, we're getting inquiries about our services, and we're trying super hard to fulfill every request! So, lately, I've been one of those people who throws around the word "busy" a lot, but, I promise, it's not me being obnoxious—my schedule is seriously jam packed with projects! It's really exciting how fast we've grown in just a couple of months: we started out with just one local business, and from there, it's just been expanding rapidly. In between photo and video editing, we are building a website and creating branding for ourselves, which we want to launch by New Year! Word of mouth has been amazing in getting us work, so, I couldn't imagine what will happen when we actually start advertising!

On the blogging front, I've been super excited about the growth here as well—I've been presented with many amazing opportunities in the last year, and everyday, I am just reassured through endless support from you guys, my friends, and family, that I made the correct choice in not pursuing another 9-5 work situation—funny enough, I work much more insane hours now, and even though I'm way more stressed than ever before, it's because I'm finally seeing the bigger picture start to come together—I told myself that I wouldn't work for anyone ever again, I muttered this phrase under my breath, I wrote it on napkins and notebooks, I told it to my friends and my Mom, texted it, blogged it, and just put it into the Universe, and the Universe heard me. The stress I feel is oddly liberating, because now I'm stressed about things I actually care about, instead of being stressed about keeping a job I didn't love in the first place.

Anyway, I wanted to give you guys that quick update, and just say thanks to anyone and everyone sending me good vibes lately! It's been a long, crazy year, with plenty of lows, and now that the momentum has shifted to a more positive note, I wanted to just take a minute and appreciate it all. I could still be in my bed, in fetal position, bawling my eyes out lol.

One of the last things I want to say is, don't under-estimate the power of telling people your goals and dreams—I learned that the more I told people what I wanted, and where I wanted to be in life, the more things started falling in place to get me there; I started meeting people, and going places, and doing things that have all furthered my journey somehow—so, put it out there! Even if you aren't ready to start, just tell people something! Get the encouragement, and support you need to move forward! No (wo)man is an island, and unless you're sitting on tons of resources, you will absolutely need help to get to the next level! You never know who is watching, and how just speaking out can change your life.

So hit up my comment section, Facebook wall, or Twitter, and tell me about a goal or dream that you want to pursue, let's put the Law of Attraction to the test! :)

xx,

Tasha
