[dropcap]You[/dropcap] know how sometimes, after you get dressed, you think, "Wow, this looks familiar?"—sometimes, you get inspired by someone subconsciously, and don't realize it. That's how I felt when I put this outfit on; I knew there were major 90s vibes happening, but I couldn't figure out from where. Then it hit me, as I'm fluffing up my huge hair (thanks humidity!), I just blurt out, "ROSIE PEREZ!"
For those of you who don't know who Rosie Perez is, she's an amazing actress and dancer. She was the choreographer of the 90s dance troupe, The Fly Girls, who performed on the hit show In Living Color, and appeared in movies like Do The Right Thing and White Men Can't Jump. She had so much energy onscreen, everything from the way she looked, to the way she spoke, to the way she moved was larger than life, but, I think the appeal was that she was still so relatable in a lot of ways.
I think because she's been in the spotlight a bit more lately, my subconscious was trying to pay homage to her, and her carefree vibrance.
