Black is obviously my favorite color to wear, and at this point, I just love the challenge of building all black looks, and mixing and matching things I already own until I find some new way to wear everything.

This basic shirt dress is the perfect building block for any look, it has a great midi length, and scoop neck that both feel really chic yet casual. I paired it with perspex ankle boots, because I felt like it would look more interesting and a bit more whimsical than a regular pair of heels (which would also work). I like the idea of playing with chokers and scarves lately to switch up my usual stacked gold necklaces, and it has been a lot of fun to try some new things. If you have a shorter neck like I do, I would probably save the chokers and scarves for outfits with a lower neckline, so that more skin is showing and gives the illusion of a longer neck.

Lastly, I'm so excited that I finally get to style this gorgeous shawl from Denada Design! Styling it in a way that was unique to me has been my objective since I got it. I love the open knit design, which means that it's really light and airy, but the look is so bold and graphic, that it definitely feels modern and fresh. I think this shawl can work with a number of looks, but I especially love it with this outfit, because it adds such a special finishing touch—I feel like a 2016 Stevie Nicks, to be honest.

xx,

Tasha
