I'm going to be very honest here, I never ever imagined that one day, I would want to wear my pajamas out in public. In college, I used to be so against wearing PJs as clothes, it was like, "Come on guys, have some tact, we're in super-serious Art School for God's sake."
[insert eye roll emoji]
Now, that I'm older, I'm like "Yes! Let's normalize PJs as daywear!", because getting dressed up every single day is kind of overrated. That is probably the work-from-home-me talking, but I kind of agree.
A happy medium, it seems, is to pair a cute, satin pajama shirt with jeans, or some item that is a bit more structured. Literally, just swap out the bottoms for something deemed more acceptable in society. Put on some pants, and you're good to go.
The top from this set was a lucky thrift find recently—I love the white piping, and embroidered flowers on the chest. They've got a retro feel that I love, and tucked into black pants, I get major 60s country singer vibes.
There is one other styling idea I have in mind for these PJs, but I don't want to push it—or do I? Stay tuned!
What do you guys think about this trend? How would you style a PJ top?
