I have to say, the weather in November gives me hope that we're going to have an amazing winter here in the DC area. It's not technically winter yet, but, if you're at all familiar with weather in the DC area, it's never technically one season or another. It can be hot or cold, sunny or rainy, or snowy all in the span of a week— things get pretty weird here. According to the Farmer's Almanac, we should be getting some snow (!!!) this year, and I cannot contain myself. I love snow! This past week, we've had chilly, wet weather, the kind that makes you want to snuggle up in bed, and binge watch tv shows on Netflix. It's also the kind of weather, that makes you want to break out all your cute scarves, as to protect yourself from the elements outside.
I adore this scarf because it adds just the right amount of color to my (usually) black and grey winter uniform. The best thing about it, is that it was so cheap! I bought it at Forever 21 maybe two years ago, and I love it. This green tartan is also my go-to pattern for Winter (revolutionary, I know), because it just looks so amazing paired with leather and wool. I have a pair of tartan pants that I'm getting ready to break out of closet jail, and I have several looks planned for them already!
The rest of my outfit is basically my uniform. Black jeans, a loose top (this one is a men's tuxedo shirt I thrifted from Goodwill), and a jacket of some kind. Ninety percent of the time, this is what I have on, because, it's comfortable, stylish, and easy for me to throw together when I can't think of anything else. Everyone needs a fallback, I think.
What about you guys? What's your go-to look in your wardrobe? Leave me a comment, or send me a tweet @theglossier!
