It's officially that time of the year, it's now so cold, that you have to make a decision: do I continue trying to look cute and get the flu, or just put on the damn parka and winterized layers? For the record, I'm in the second camp, I can't stand being cold.
However, since finding this oversized Teddy coat at H&M (ugh) a month or so ago, I can't stop wearing it. Does it keep me warm in 30-40 degrees, sure. Warm enough to be posing out here in "feels like 3 degrees" weather, well that's a whole other thing.

Under this mammoth coat, I wore my super-long Fenty X Puma sweater dress, tucked into my pants. This sweater is beyond warm—I actually can't even keep it on indoors, between the material being so insulated and thick, and the mock turtleneck collar, I sweat like a _____ in a _______. But still, it's such a great piece. I am obsessed with the bull-ring zipper pull it has, and every time I wear this dress, it makes me want to re-pierce my septum.
I broke out the vinyl pants again—sorry not sorry—they're my faves. I loved mixing all these different textures: shearling, sweatshirt, and coated/vinyl—I thought it all looked really cool all together... pun intended.
Anyway, I don't see this Teddy coat trend dying anytime soon. What I love about it is that it can be interpreted in so many ways. I personally wear this with everything. My boyfriend kindly pointed out to me on a recent grocery run (I was wearing this coat with a hoodie and sweatpants) that he loved this coat because it was so versatile, "I like how it works with all your outfits, whether it's dressy, or when you look like a bum,"
"Wait. Do I look like a bum now?" I asked.
He nodded, and I think the temperature dropped ten more degrees that very moment lol.
